Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Part-Time Cleaner to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across various commercial, residential, and industrial environments. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across designated areas.
- Handle chemical agents safely while using cleaning solutions, disinfectants, and floor care products.
- Operate floor and other custodial equipment to maintain high standards of cleanliness and shine.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment following safe lifting practices.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and industrial spaces according to established protocols.
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or minor repairs as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures related to chemical handling, equipment operation, and manual handling to prevent accidents or injuries.
Experience
MUST HAVE YOUR OWN TRANSPORTATION TO ALL JOBs!
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques specific to floor care, buffing, and industrial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers.
- Experience handling chemical agents safely in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices including basic repairs and upkeep tasks.
- Previous porter or facilities maintenance experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while adhering to proper manual handling procedures.
