We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and process-driven Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Knightdale, NC. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting supply chain operations, and ensuring smooth production and shipping processes. - Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts, audits, and verifications.
- Identify and investigate discrepancies quickly, double-checking data, counts, and documentation to prevent errors.
- Follow established procedures consistently while seeking opportunities to streamline and improve inventory control processes.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with purchasing, warehousing, production, and leadership teams regarding shortages, discrepancies, and process updates.
- Take ownership of inventory accuracy and complete assigned tasks reliably and on time.
- Identify root causes of inventory issues such as receiving errors, mis-picks, and vendor mistakes, and implement preventive measures.
- Utilize ERP/WMS systems, scanners, reporting tools, and dashboards effectively to manage inventory data.
- Maintain organized and systematic physical inventory areas to support data accuracy.
- Handle sensitive and high-value inventory with integrity, following controls to prevent loss or shrinkage.
- Adapt to last-minute changes, urgent orders, and shifting priorities while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Understand the broader supply chain impact of inventory accuracy on purchasing, production, shipping, and customer satisfaction.
- Proactively suggest improvements and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
