CESA 11 Head Start offers a variety of programs serving Pregnant women, children 0-3yrs old in a home based setting and 3 & 4yo center based programming. This is a full time 40 hours/week, 187 day/yr. School Year position.
Our Ideal Candidate will: Create nutritious meals for our Head Start Center in Rice Lake! We have two classrooms of three year old's who are looking for a caring, efficient, and creative individual to ensure they receive breakfast, lunch and snack during the school year. This position will allow you to work with passionate people, follow CACFP guidelines, and enjoy the flexibility of weekends and summers off.
Qualifications - 18 yrs of age and high school diploma/GED; One year of work experience in quantity cooking necessary and experience in infant and preschool USDA nutrition helpful.
Responsibilities - Plan and prepare meals according to the USDA requirements; Maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment. ServSafe certification is required; if not current, program will support attainment.
Hours - 40 hrs/wk, 187 days/yr. Program year, August-May.
Interviews will take place on July 8, 2026 at the Rice Lake Head Start Center.

Background Check - In compliance with Head Start Performance Standard 1302.90(b)(1) through (5), Wisconsin State Day Care Licensing DCF 250.05(2)(b), and 13.03(1) through (2)(b) and 13.06(1)(a) through (4)(b)(2) of the Wisconsin Administrative Code and the 2009 Wisconsin Act 76, completion of the background check process will be required prior to hire.
