Overview:
Sugar Land Emergency Room is looking for qualified and experienced Registered Radiology Technicians to perform X-Ray and CT scanning for ER patients. Part Time employees needed. Shifts are 12 hours 7a-7p or 7p - 7a
Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality CT (Computed Tomography) and radiography studies using accepted techniques and best practices
Apply proper radiation safety protocols on all exams performed
Operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment requiring strong clinical skills, confidence, and autonomy
Demonstrate the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage workflow efficiently
Assist with laboratory functions as needed within the Free-Standing ER setting
Support the performance of various laboratory tests (training on all lab equipment will be provided; prior lab experience is not required)
Qualifications:
Graduate of a 2 year accredited school of Radiology Technology.
Minimum of 12 months of current experience performing Computed Tomography (CT) and Radiography procedures in an emergency setting or another high-volume area of the hospital is required. Level 1 or 2 trauma center ER experience preferred.
National certification from the ARRT is required.
Current license by TMB.
Current BLS for the Healthcare Provider by start date. Must have current card from an American Heart Association (AHA) recognized course
Preferred knowledge of patient laboratory testing
Ability to troubleshoot and think critically
Ability to work in a small environment closely with fellow employees
Ability to perform on call studies in a timely and reliable manner
Pay: $43.00 - $45.00 per hour
