Skin Care Manufacturing Operation - Monday to Thursday, 8am to 630pm for 40 hours a week
We are looking for a dependable and proactive Production Maintenance Mechanic to join our manufacturing team. This is an ideal position for someone with hands-on mechanical experience in an industrial setting who is confident working with air-powered systems and 3-phase electrical equipment.
You'll play a key role in maintaining equipment performance, minimizing downtime and supporting warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing machinery and equipment
- Work with air-powered systems and 3-phase electrical components
- Perform mechanical work in installing and/or making repairs to pumps, controls and compressors.
- May be required to assist with weighing and pouring raw materials into tanks under the guidance of the Lab department. Cleaning tanks after production. Train on maintenance and repair of tanks.
- Ensure proper maintenance of the facilities, the equipment, and supplies. Recommend equipment requirements and replacements to management in order to upgrade and maintain warehouse productivity and efficiency.
- Maintains and replaces electrical components.
- Installs and maintains equipment, structures and material.
- Possesses excellent time management skills.
- Works well with minimal supervision.
- Clean/setup equipment for next production run/job
- Handle small jobs and assist tradespeople with larger electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs
- Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks
- Identify and report the need for major repairs
- Maintain and repair facilities including basic plumbing (bathroom repairs) and electrical systems.
- Efficiently prioritizes repair schedule to ensure uninterrupted production schedule.
- Ensure an adequate inventory of necessary spare parts and materials is maintained.
- Keep management informed of areas activities and of significant concerns.
- Ensure work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment
- Collaborate with maintenance team and production staff to resolve technical issues
Skills
- Mechanical experience with 2 to 5 years of previous work-related experience in manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing or HVAC systems
- Basic math skills
- Good communication ability
- Well-organized and apt in problem-solving
- Strong problem-solving skills and Attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lb, walk, crawl, climb a ladder, bending or standing for long periods of time.
- Forklift experience is required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver License and transportation (Required)
Hours
Monday to Thursday, 8am to 630pm for 40 hours a week, 10 hour shift - giving you a 3 day weekend. We are closed every Friday!
