Abts Equipment is a growing leader in the dairy industry, providing quality equipment, cleaning supplies, and udder health products to dairy farms throughout the region. We are looking for a motivated Route Sales & Service Technician to join our team.
This position offers an established customer route with the opportunity to grow your territory by developing new customer relationships. If you enjoy working independently, building strong customer relationships, and solving problems, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
As a Route Sales & Service Technician, you will:
- Deliver cleaning supplies, chemicals, and udder health products to dairy customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers while providing outstanding service.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and install equipment and replacement parts as needed.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Help customers plan chemical and supply inventories to prevent interruptions in operation.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment conditions and service recommendations.
- Keep customers and management informed of any issues, changes, or service needs.
- Follow all company policies, environmental regulations, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols.
- Continuously look for opportunities to improve service and grow your customer base.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who has:
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage a daily route.
- Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and repair experience preferred.
- The ability to work in dairy farm and milking parlor environments.
- The ability to work a full day and complete scheduled service calls.
- Basic technology skills, including the ability to use a tablet and mobile applications.
- A valid driver's license.
- The willingness to obtain a CDL with HazMat endorsement (company assistance may be available).
