Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated Food Service Workers - Cooks and Utility Workers to join our travel team. In this role, you will support the site project by assisting with food preparation, serving, sanitation, and kitchen operations to ensure clients receive nutritious, safe, and timely meals. The ideal candidate will bring culinary or server experience, knowledge of food safety standards, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our 24 hour operation. Responsibilities Cooks and Servers
- Assist with meal preparation, cooking, and plating in accordance with dietary requirements and safety standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to proper handling and sanitation procedures.
- Support food production activities, including portioning, serving, and bussing tables as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and dining spaces through regular sanitation practices.
- Follow safe lifting practices during heavy lifting tasks and manual handling of supplies or equipment.
- Utility/Server staff will assist in kitchen with general prep dutues
- Support the kitchen to ensure all food is delivered and served in a professional and timely manner
- Participate in workplace safety initiatives by using personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately.
- Contribute to a positive dining experience through friendly customer service and respectful interactions with residents.
Requirements
- Previous experience in fast faced professional atmosphere or the food industry is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food production, meal preparation, sanitation, kitchen safety and server protocols.
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment: ovens, mixers, refrigerators, and dishwashers.
- Strong understanding of buffet replenishment food service a must.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience working with food handling procedures in compliance with food safety standards.
- Physical ability to perform lifting safely and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude focused on delivering quality service.
