POSITION: Nurse Practitioner
The NP will work under the supervision of the clinic physician according to the medical protocol set forth by the organization. Under general direction, the NP provides patient care; conducts physical exams; completes health history summary; documents patients' progress, and assists with patient care management.
Wellness visits only. No sick visits. Friendly work environment.
Job Functions
- Obtains and reviews patient's medical and psychosocial history information relevant to patient care
- Conducts physical examinations
- Orders and reviews laboratory studies as well as diagnostic procedures; including EKGs
- Assumes responsibility for prescribing and dispensing FDA-approved appetite suppressants according to state and federal guidelines
- Reviews patients' progress and manages patient care accordingly
- Maintains all required documentation for patient care and medication management
- Facilitates referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as necessary and will communicate with collaborating physician and/or specialists regarding patient's care
- Provides training to clinical and non-clinical staff as needed
- Documents patient progress notes in the patient chart and/or EMR.
- Performs other clinical duties as required
- Conducts follow-up calls to patients to discuss the patient's progress and address any concerns.
- Develops strategic recommendations to support patient experience improvement initiatives.
- Provides ongoing support to promote clinic profitability and success

Experience:
- Minimum 1 year NP experience as main provider
- EMR systems (Preferred)
- EKG (Preferred)
- Nutrition (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Certified Nurse Practitioner (Required)
- DEA Certification (Required)
- Current CAQH profile (Required)
- Credentialed with key insurance payers (Preferred)
- Physician Assistants may also apply.
Job Type: Part-Time, only Saturdays (See clinic hours).
