Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead AV Technician to oversee audiovisual installations, lead field projects, and support sales efforts. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, helping deliver high-quality AV solutions while contributing to business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead installation, setup, and configuration of audiovisual systems (audio, video, lighting, control systems, etc.)
- Schedule, supervise and guide technicians on job sites to ensure quality and efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during and after installation
- Ensure all work meets company standards, safety requirements, and client expectations
- Conduct system testing and client demonstrations upon project completion
- Review project scopes, plans, and timelines prior to installation
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and labor for upcoming jobs
- Communicate progress updates with sales and clients
- Maintain accurate job documentation and reports
- Assist in preparing quotes, proposals, system designs, submittals, RFP, and line drawings.
- Generate sales leads, help identify upselling, conduct site surveys and gather client requirements
- Recommend AV solutions based on customer needs and budget
- Support client consultations and product demonstrations
- Perform other duties as assigned by Sales staff.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Audio Visual or low voltage
- Must possess a current CTS Certification
- Strong knowledge of AV systems, wiring, troubleshooting, and control systems programming
- Sufficient with Microsoft Suite and CRM software
- Experience leading or supervising a team
- Basic understanding of sales processes and customer service
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and system designs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience and/or certifications with control systems are a plus (e.g., Crestron, Control4, Extron, OSHA etc.)
- Live production experience
- Prior experience in estimating or sales support
Pay: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
