The Wound Care Medical Assistant (MA) supports the wound care providers by assisting with patient care, clinical procedures, and administrative responsibilities in various healthcare settings. The MA helps prepare patients for evaluation and treatment, performs physician-directed clinical tasks including UltraMIST® Therapy after appropriate training, and ensures efficient coordination of patient care.
Key Responsibilities

Document patient encounters in real-time using electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Ensure accuracy and completeness of medical documentation to support provider efficiency

Perform venipuncture and collect blood samples for diagnostic testing

Label and prepare specimens for safe and timely transport to laboratories

Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

Communicate effectively with providers, patients, and facility staff

Travel to patient locations within Livingston and surrounding areas

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent training preferred

Phlebotomy certification or proven experience in blood draw procedures

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
