Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and engage with them to understand their jewelry needs and preferences
- Assist customers with product selections, offering detailed information about jewelry pieces, materials, and care instructions
- Conduct product demonstrations and showcase new collections to enhance the shopping experience
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell complementary jewelry items to increase sales opportunities while maintaining a customer-first approach
- Maintain attractive visual merchandising by stocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring the store looks inviting at all times
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or scheduling appointments, ensuring clear communication
- Support inventory management through stock replenishment, product demos, and merchandise organization
- Assist with store opening and closing procedures, including cash register reconciliation and safety checks
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in jewelry or luxury accessories
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic retail math skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers in a bilingual environment (additional language skills are a plus)
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities that can support team collaboration
- Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and arranging displays effectively
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle inquiries professionally
- Experience in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining genuine customer relationships
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or similar retail environments is advantageous but not required
