Badger Drilling is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Superintendent to lead large-scale underground utility construction projects across the state of Florida. This is a hands-on leadership role managing multiple crews and coordinating with project teams to ensure successful delivery of complex infrastructure projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate brings a proactive leadership style, strong field knowledge, and a commitment to safety and quality across all phases of underground utility installation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage multiple field crews across concurrent projects statewide, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and safety standards
- Oversee installation of storm, sanitary sewer, water, and reclaimed water pipe systems
- Shoot and verify elevations to ensure grade compliance
- Review and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate implementation of project specifications
- Oversee daily job site activities including crew management, equipment coordination, and material logistics to optimize productivity
- Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies to maintain a zero-incident work environment
- Supervise subcontractors and field personnel and provide guidance on safety protocols and technical procedures
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate seamless project execution
- Operate heavy equipment as needed to support field operations
- Assist with general maintenance of trucks and equipment
- Monitor costs related to labor, materials, and equipment and report to project stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of experience in underground utility pipe laying (storm, sewer, water, and reclaim)
- Proven ability to shoot elevations
- Valid CDL required
- Equipment operation experience
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction prints and blueprints
- Experience managing multiple crews simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards for heavy civil construction
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- General knowledge of truck and equipment maintenance a plus
- Must be willing to travel throughout Florida
