Responsibilities
- Safely transport prepared dishes from the kitchen to tables or designated service areas using proper manual handling and safe lifting practices.
- Ensure food presentation meets quality standards before delivery to guests.
- Assist with clearing tables, bussing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to support overall restaurant hygiene and guest comfort.
- Collaborate closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to coordinate timely food delivery and resolve any issues swiftly.
- Handle in-person customer service interactions professionally, addressing guest needs or concerns courteously.
- Support food safety protocols by adhering to proper food handling procedures during transportation and service.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order accuracy and efficient service when necessary.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments with a strong understanding of customer service principles.
- Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety standards essential for maintaining high-quality service.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely during food transportation and setup.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and interact positively with guests.
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency during busy service periods.
- Experience with banquet or hotel food running is a plus, demonstrating versatility in various hospitality settings.
- Strong organizational skills combined with a proactive attitude to support smooth restaurant operations.
