POSITION TITLE: High School Secretary

POSITION GOAL: Provide secretarial and clerical support to high school administrators
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide secretarial services for high school administrators, including correspondence, filing, email, phone messages and appointments.

Responsible for financial and budgeting matters related to the high school.

Interface with all levels of employees and external contacts: greet visitors, provide assistance and information, and respond to routine inquiries and requests.

Collect and assemble data as needed.

Create and distribute correspondence and reports from principal's information.

Maintain files and records.

Maintain office equipment and inventory-related supplies.

Responsible for ordering and overseeing inventory for the high school.

Observe established policies and procedures.

Receive and distribute messages to building administrators, students and staff.

Maintain office supplies for use by main office.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of
educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary.

High School diploma or equivalent.

Proficient computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.

Proficient clerical skills, including organizational skills, with the ability to work independently with frequent interruptions and to meet deadlines.

Ability to demonstrate diplomacy when dealing with parents, teachers, staff, community members and other external contacts; and to maintain confidentiality.

Submission of PA School Personnel Health form.
-
Current Act 34, Act 151 and Act 114 clearances.

performed by the incumbent in this position. The employee will be required to perform any
other position-related duties as requested by the supervisor.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
262 days per year, 7 hours 30 minutes per day. Starting at $18.50 per hour; Salary and benefits according to the negotiated agreement between the Board of School Directors and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 384. According to the School District Policy Manual (available online at www.ojrsd.com).
