**Overview** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about helping others and are interested in a career in the medical field. **Duties** - Assist licensed Physical Therapists in the evaluation and treatment of patients. - Conduct physical therapy interventions, including exercises, stretches, and modalities, under the direction of the Physical Therapist. - Use medical terminology and physiology knowledge to accurately document patient progress and communicate with the Physical Therapist. - Provide patient care in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, and outpatient facilities. - Apply trigger point therapy and other orthopedic techniques to help patients recover from injuries or surgery. - Collaborate with the Physical Therapist to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the patient's specific needs. - Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff. - Participate in patient education and provide them with guidance on exercises and self-care techniques. **Qualifications** - Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of employment. - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Completion of a Physical Therapist Assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). - Strong understanding of occupational health and the ability to work in a variety of settings, including inpatient and outpatient environments. - Excellent patient care skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff. - Knowledge of orthopedic techniques, including trigger point therapy. - Familiarity with medical terminology and physiology knowledge. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Certification in CPR or first aid is preferred.
