Position Summary
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment throughout the production floor, restrooms, break rooms, and other designated areas within a precast concrete manufacturing facility. This role supports daily plant operations by ensuring housekeeping standards are met and work areas remain free of debris and potential safety hazards. The position requires working in a physically demanding, non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Sweep, shovel, and remove concrete debris, dust, wood chips, and other materials from production areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of production floors, walkways, workstations, and common areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other employee facilities.
- Operate wheelbarrows and other housekeeping equipment to transport waste and debris.
- Dispose of trash and debris in designated containers and disposal areas.
- Assist in maintaining a safe work environment by identifying and addressing housekeeping-related hazards.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
- Support production and maintenance teams with general cleanup activities as needed.
- Perform additional housekeeping and facility maintenance duties as assigned by the supervisor.

- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and workplace safety.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work in dusty conditions and around concrete materials.
- Ability to work in a large manufacturing facility that is not climate controlled and may be exposed to varying temperatures and weather conditions.
Work Environment
This position is located in a precast concrete manufacturing plant. Employees are required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including:
- Steel-toe boots
- Hard hat
- High-visibility safety vest
The work environment includes exposure to dust, noise, concrete materials, and heavy equipment traffic common in an industrial manufacturing setting.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
