Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of the reconditioning department including detailing, cosmetic repairs, inspections, and vehicle readiness.

Supervise and lead a team of technicians, detailers, and support staff.

Develop schedules, assign tasks, and monitor workflow to maximize efficiency.

Conduct quality control inspections to ensure dealership standards are met or exceeded.

Manage vendor relationships and coordinate outsourced services as needed.

Monitor labor costs, supplies, and equipment to maintain profitability.

Collaborate with dealership management on process improvements and customer satisfaction goals.

Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.

Track, report, and analyze reconditioning performance metrics.

3+ years of management or supervisory experience in automotive reconditioning, service, or detail operations.

3+ years of detailing, or reconditioning services

Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, train, and motivate teams.

Proven ability to manage schedules, workflow, and department efficiency.

Hands-on knowledge of detailing processes, reconditioning, and cosmetic repair standards.

Proficiency with inventory management and operational oversight.

Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications

Experience managing reconditioning operations at a dealership or auto auction.

Knowledge of vendor negotiation and third-party service management.

Familiarity with dealership management systems (DMS) or reconditioning software.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills.
Beneficial Experience

Background in automotive detailing (interior, exterior, paint correction, polishing, buffing).

Experience in body shop operations, paintless dent repair (PDR), wheel repair, or interior repair.
