About IEC Oregon
IEC Oregon is a trade association representing Oregon’s merit shop electrical industry. We champion contractor success through education, advocacy, and workforce development. Our apprenticeship training programs prepare the next generation of skilled electricians — and this role puts you at the center of that work. - Schedule appointments and meetings as requested by staff
- Support basic tracking, recordkeeping and documentation processes as directed
- Assist with class preparation and help students’ questions about school
Community Outreach & Trades Promotion
This role goes beyond the front desk position. You’ll be part of our effort to connect people with life-changing career opportunities in the electrical trades:
- Represent the Area VII Inside Electrical Apprenticeship program at local career fairs, high school and community college events, and workforce development expos throughout the region
- Engage with prospective applicants, students, and job seekers to share information about the electrical apprenticeship program and pathways into the trade
- Distribute outreach materials, set up and staff informational booths

You’ll thrive in this role if you:
- Communicate clearly, warmly, and professionally with a wide range of people
- Stay calm, solution-focused, and adaptable when things get busy
- Take ownership of your work, stay organized, and sweat the details
