Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting core accounting functions, including asset accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports. The position also supports budgeting, audits, and cross-functional requests while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Duties
- Prepare, analyze, and interpret complex financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory standards.
- Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of accounts receivable and accounts payable records.
- Complete bank reconciliations for assigned accounts in a timely manner.
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and other regulatory requirements related to financial reporting.
- Support internal audits and coordinate external audit activities by providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Assist with regulatory reporting obligations including securities law compliance and governmental accounting standards.
Experience Required
- Demonstrated expertise in technical accounting concepts such as accrual accounting, double entry bookkeeping, and financial statement preparation.
- Extensive experience with financial analysis tools like Excel (including VLOOKUP functions), data analysis techniques, and financial report interpretation.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting, finance or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in corporate accounting.
- Strong understanding of bank reconciliation procedures, account reconciliation processes, and general ledger reconciliation techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for preparing detailed financial reports and collaborating effectively across departments.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
