Executive Chef – Boutique Hotel & Event Venue
Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate, creative, and experienced Executive Chef to lead the culinary program at our luxury boutique hotel and event venue. This is a unique opportunity for a chef who wants to build and shape a distinctive dining experience from the ground up.
The Executive Chef will oversee all aspects of the kitchen, including menu development, breakfast service, special events, food quality, purchasing, inventory, staffing, and kitchen operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a hospitality environment and is committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute seasonal breakfast menus that showcase quality, creativity, and consistency.
Create customized menus for weddings, corporate events, private dinners, and special occasions.
Prepare and oversee daily breakfast service for hotel guests.
Lead all kitchen operations while maintaining exceptional food quality and presentation.
Manage food purchasing, vendor relationships, inventory, and cost controls.
Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff.
Develop standardized recipes, portion controls, and operating procedures.
Collaborate with ownership to enhance the property’s culinary reputation and guest experience.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
Monitor labor and food costs while maximizing quality and profitability.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of professional culinary experience, with leadership experience preferred.
Proven experience in menu development and culinary innovation.
Strong knowledge of food costing, inventory management, and kitchen operations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
Experience with catering, weddings, or event dining is highly preferred.
Culinary degree is preferred but not required with equivalent professional experience.
