LB. MINI-MART is seeking part-time (16+hrs, 2-3 shifts), retail sales associates and baristas/smoothie makers for our mini-marts located at the in the West End at 235 Vaughan St AND Rock Row Health Campus in Westbrook, ME. The shifts will be split between locations.
We are looking for motivated, customer service oriented individuals to join our team! You will be responsible for providing exceptional service; maintaining a clean, stocked and organized market; and making a range of cafe beverages.
Ideal Candidate:
- 2 years of customer service experience – food service or traditional retail
- Barista experience is preferred but not required
- Thrives in a fast paced hospitality environment
- Is flexible, solutions and team oriented
- Takes pride in work and has a passion for hospitality
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and assist with product inquiries
- Operate a POS system and handle a variety of payment options
- Maintain knowledge of all the market's product offerings: LB prepared food, snacks, beverages, and other retail items
- Understanding of all ingredients in LB prepared food, allergens, dietary restrictions etc.
- Market maintenance - cleaning, tidying and stocking of all surfaces, fridges, and shelves
- Inventory management - monitoring expiration dates on all products, LB prepared food pars, retail pars and barista service needs
- Preparation of a full espresso menu on a super-automatic espresso machine and wellness lattes
- Preparation of a full smoothie and slushie menu
Requirements:
- Follow all safety and health regulations regarding food handling and sanitation
- Positive attitude and the willingness to take feedback and learn from mistakes
- Can meet physical demands of position including pulling, pushing, carrying and lifting up to 50lbs, and standing for extended periods of time
Compensation + Benefits:
- $17 + tips
