The Crosby Municipal Utility District is accepting applications for the position of Utility Crewman. The purpose of this position is to maintain the District's utility services. This is accomplished by monitoring the District's water and sewer systems and to maintain and repair water and sewer systems. Other duties may include responding to emergencies and interfacing with District employees and citizens. This position requires occasional on-call duties in the evenings and on weekends.
The Utility Crewman responsibilities consist of but are not limited to,
- water and sewer main repairs and new construction
- Water and sewer taps
- - meter reading
- -Sewer Stoppages
- Assist with water and wastewater treatment daily operations
- Collaborate with crew members to carry out projects in a timely manner while maintaining high-quality standards.
- - Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies on the job site.
- - Maintain and perform regular inspections of machinery and tools to ensure optimal operation.
- - Document work progress, materials used, and any issues encountered during daily operations
- other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 years water utilities experience
- Minimum of a D Water and D Wastewater License. C Wastewater and C Surface Water License preferred
- Ability to operate equipment safely
- Understanding of safety practices and regulations related to underground utility work.
- Valid driver's license and any required
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
This is an essential services position and requires working in various weather conditions. Employees in essential services positions will be required to provide services in the course and scope of their employment for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations that threaten the safety of the District's citizens.
