PAID MILIAGE FOR ORTHO TRAVEL
We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Traveling Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our growing dental team! The ideal candidate will assist the orthodontist in all clinical procedures, provide exceptional patient care, and help ensure efficient day-to-day operations of the ortho department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms for orthodontic procedures.
- Assist the orthodontist during patient exams and treatments (e.g., placing bands, wires, retainers).
- Take and develop digital X-rays, photos, and impressions.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic appliance care.
- Sterilize instruments and ensure cleanliness of the ortho bay.
- Chart patient information accurately and update records.
- Support front office tasks when needed (scheduling, confirming appointments).
- Maintain inventory of ortho supplies and order when necessary.
- Provide a calm and reassuring presence for patients, especially younger ones.
Qualifications:
- Dental Assistant certification
- OA CERTIFICATE
- Orthodontic assisting experience
- X-ray certification
- CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions:
- Busy clinical setting
- May require extended periods of standing
- Occasional evening or wee
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
