firstPRO is seeking a IT Deployment Technician who will be responsible for the installation, configuration, deployment, and support of hardware, software, and network equipment for our customer. This role ensures that technology deployments are completed accurately, efficiently, and according to project timelines while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and deploy desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, servers, and peripheral equipment.
- Image, configure, and test Windows-based workstations and other endpoint devices.
- Perform hardware refreshes, system migrations, and equipment replacements.
- Install and troubleshoot networking equipment including switches, routers, wireless access points, and structured cabling.
- Verify equipment functionality and perform quality assurance testing following deployment.
- Document installation procedures, asset information, and project completion reports.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and customers to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide onsite and remote technical support during deployment activities.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues while minimizing downtime.
- Maintain inventory of deployment equipment, tools, and spare parts.
- Follow company safety procedures and customer security policies while working onsite.
- Travel to customer locations as required to perform installations and support.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience deploying IT hardware and software in enterprise environments.
- Experience imaging and configuring Windows operating systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking concepts.
- Experience with desktop hardware, printers, mobile devices, and peripheral installation.
- Ability to read technical documentation and follow deployment procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various office and industrial environments.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
