The Maintenance III general function will be to perform moderately complex work related to leading and supervising subordinates in the maintenance and repair of Lake County facilities and equipment. The position supervises maintenance crews and is under supervision of the Maintenance Branch Manager and Director of Operations.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Depending on the assignment, the incumbent may perform a combination of some or all of the following duties, and perform related duties as assigned: Maintain all buildings, structures, equipment, grounds, and ancillary equipment including auxiliary utility systems.May supervise or lead skilled and semiskilled carpentry, electrical, electronics, plumbing, roof repair, painting and plastering tasks in the maintenance and repair of buildings and building equipment.Provide proper training to others in procedures and of plumbing, electrical, electronics, carpentry, mechanical equipment and others.Respond to emergency situations and ensure responsible back up is available to take corrective action as needed.Assist in the maintenance and general procurement of materials and parts, schedule installations and repairs.Perform maintenance tasks involving the repair of buildings and equipment.Snow removal using all aspects of equipment including shovel, snow blower, Bobcat equipment, and pickup trucks.Must have approved LEADS access to Sheriff's Office and Courts secured areas at all times.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Requires light to medium work involving standing or walking some of the time, exerting up to 50 pounds of force on a regular basis, and moderate dexterity in operating machinery, tools, or office equipment. Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, work standing for long periods of time, work in extreme environments. May be exposed to bright/dim lights, dust and pollen, extreme heat and/or cold, wet or humid conditions, extreme noise levels, animals/wildlife, traffic, moving machinery, electrical shock, heights. The position requires normal visual acuity and field of vision and the ability to hear and speak to understand, respond to and build relationships with a diverse clientele.Lake County offers a competitive salary and benefit package.
