The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing excellent guest service by greeting guests, handling check-ins and check-outs, managing reservations, and responding to guest requests efficiently and professionally. This role serves as the first point of contact for hotel guests and helps create a positive guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Perform guest check-in and check-out procedures
- Handle room reservations, cancellations, and modifications
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries
- Process payments and maintain accurate billing records
- Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments regarding room status and guest requests
- Resolve guest complaints and escalate issues when necessary
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
- Follow hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer and reservation system knowledge
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
