Now expanding into New Jersey, we’re seeking skilled technicians passionate about fire safety and security systems to join our team.
Job Summary: As a Certified Fire Alarm and Security System Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing fire alarm and security systems, ensuring our clients’ properties are always protected. We're looking for committed professionals ready to serve both NYC and NJ and uphold our high safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm and security systems in accordance with local codes and standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions, performing repairs as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections with detailed performance reports.
- Ensure strict compliance with NFPA standards and local safety regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers and contractors during system upgrades and service calls.
- Train clients on proper system use and maintenance.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and technology advancements.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, inspections, and repairs.
- Be available for on-call emergency service once a month, including after-hours and overtime.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fire alarm and security system service and maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training a plus
- Proficiency with hand tools and testing equipment
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm and security systems, codes, and safety regulations
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work in both NYC and NJ territories
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation
