As an Instructional Aide, you’ll play an essential role—providing 1:1 or small-group academic, social, and behavioral support under the direction of teaching staff. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students academically, behaviorally, and socially within classroom settings
- Deliver 1:1 and small-group support as directed by teachers and other school personnel
- Help with daily routines, transitions, and active classroom participation
- Implement individual behavior support plans and adhere to IEPs as needed
- Support students’ mobility, personal care, and supervision requirements
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Active ParaPro certification, Substitute Teaching certification, or 36+ college credits
- Minimum age of 18
- TB test (per district guidelines)
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
- Current or obtainable background clearances as required by schools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in education, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
- Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus
- Demonstrates reliability, patience, and a collaborative approach
