School Bus Driver – CDL Class B

Assured Transport Inc. is seeking experienced, professional School Bus Drivers to join our growing transportation team serving schools throughout the Tampa Bay area.
We provide student transportation for public, private, and charter schools, including daily routes, athletic events, field trips, school activities, and charter transportation.
This position is intended for experienced commercial drivers who already possess the required CDL and endorsements.
Minimum Requirements — PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING
Applicants must meet ALL of the following requirements:
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or higher
- Passenger (P) Endorsement
- School Bus (S) Endorsement
- NO Air Brake Restriction
- Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to meet applicable DOT and Florida school transportation requirements
- Ability to pass required background screening
- Ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol testing
- Valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate, as required
- Professional, dependable, and punctual
- Ability to safely manage and communicate with students, school personnel, parents, and Assured Transport staff
If you do not currently have both your Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements, please do not apply for this experienced-driver position.
Job Responsibilities
As an Assured Transport School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for:
- Safely transporting students to and from schools, athletic events, field trips, and other school-sponsored activities
- Operating full-size school buses safely and professionally
- Performing required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Following assigned routes, schedules, and dispatch instructions
- Maintaining safe student behavior and an orderly environment aboard the bus
- Following all applicable federal, state, local, and company safety requirements
- Immediately reporting accidents, incidents, vehicle defects, delays, or safety concerns
- Maintaining a clean and professional bus
- Completing required driver logs, inspection reports, and other documentation
- Attending required safety meetings and training
- Maintaining CDL, endorsements, medical certification, and all other qualifications required for the position

Schedule
Work may include:
- Monday through Friday school transportation
- Morning and afternoon assignments
- Field trips
- Athletic transportation
- Charter assignments
- Occasional evening and weekend work
Hours and assignments may vary based on school schedules and transportation needs.
