Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Journeyman Plumber and bring your expertise in construction plumbing and mechanical systems to life! In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various commercial and residential construction sites. Your hands-on skills and knowledge of schematics, blueprint reading, and HVAC systems will ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute precise plumbing layouts.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely on construction sites while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of plumbing fixtures, piping, HVAC components, and mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and material estimations during installation or repairs.
- Assist with remodeling projects or handyman tasks that require plumbing or mechanical expertise.
Experience
- Proven field service experience in construction plumbing or related trades with a strong understanding of construction site safety standards.
- Skilled in pipe threading, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and mechanical system assembly.
- Hands-on experience with welding, HVAC systems, and the use of hand tools and power tools in a construction environment.
- Knowledge of building codes, schematics, and schematic diagrams relevant to plumbing and mechanical systems.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex installations or repairs.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or ability to obtain one is a plus for site access or material transport.
- Additional handyman experience or remodeling background is advantageous for versatile project support.
