Job Overview
Evesham Township School District is seeking a full-time Groundskeeper for a 12-month position within the Operations Department. The successful candidate will help maintain safe, clean, and attractive school grounds while properly operating and maintaining groundskeeping equipment. This position requires year-round outdoor work and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
Salary is $39,626, prorated based on the start date. A benefits package is available following the successful completion of a 60-day probationary period.
Responsibilities
- Maintain district lawns, landscaping, athletic fields, walkways, and other outdoor areas.
- Perform mowing, trimming, planting, leaf removal, snow removal, and general grounds maintenance.
- Safely operate and maintain groundskeeping and landscaping equipment.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of assigned equipment.
- Assist with seasonal grounds preparation and cleanup.
- Move and lift materials or equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Maintain a valid Black Seal Boiler Operator’s License.
- Follow district safety procedures and complete other related duties as assigned.
Experience
- Groundskeeping, landscaping, or related maintenance experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of the proper operation and maintenance of groundskeeping equipment is preferred.
- High school diploma is preferred; a GED or demonstrated basic communication and computational skills is acceptable.
- Valid driver’s license is required and must be maintained.
- Must possess, or be willing to obtain and maintain, a valid Black Seal Boiler Operator’s License.
- Must demonstrate the interest, aptitude, experience, and ability necessary to perform the position’s responsibilities.
- Must be physically capable of performing the essential duties of the position, including lifting and moving objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
