Job Overview
Join our dynamic construction team as a Construction Laborer specializing in asphalt projects! In this energetic role, you will be an essential part of paving DRIVEWAYS AND PARKING LOTS TO ROADWAYS.-, helping to build and maintain infrastructure that keeps communities moving forward. Your hands-on work will involve operating possible heavy equipment, raking of asphalt, hand tamping, shoveling, sweeping, wheel barrel loading and unloading, , supporting various construction activities on-site. This position offers a VERY fast-paced environment where your skills directly contribute to impactful projects, fostering a sense of pride and accomplishment every day.
Responsibilities
- Assist with asphalt paving operations, ensuring smooth application and proper compaction.
- Support construction site activities including site preparation, grading, and material handling.
- Maintain safety standards by following protocols and inspecting equipment regularly. TO BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS AROUND THE EQUIPMENT AND WORKERS.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met while maintaining quality standards.
- Support the setup and cleanup of job sites, including loading and unloading materials like gravel, asphalt, and other supplies.
Qualifications
- Prior experience IS PREFERRED .
- Knowledge of asphalt paving techniques and construction site procedures..
- Familiarity with construction safety practices and site protocols.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for demanding tasks ESPECIALLY IN THE HEAT.
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills on the job.
- Valid driver’s license; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus but not mandatory initially.
