Implements and administers HR programs such as recruitment and selection, new employee orientation, onboarding, and benefits; and participates in job fairs.
Coordinates the hiring, selection, and onboarding for assigned positions; recommends higher screening criteria; conducts references and ensures post-hire assessments are completed successfully.
Provides advice, assistance, and training on recruitment, selection, retention, benefits, leave, and employee relations matters; and communicates, disseminates, and advises staff on issues, rules, HR policies, procedures, and regulations.
Maintains and reviews HR automated systems, files, and records; analyzes HR reports; and prepares and maintains various HR forms, correspondence, and reports, to include employment verifications and prior state service.
Conducts audits of HR activities to ensure compliance with policies and procedures; and completes human resources-related surveys and questionnaires.
Reviews and recommends changes to HR policies and procedures; and implements HR policies, procedures, and forms.
Performs a variety of related duties, not listed, determined and assigned, as needed, by the supervisor.
Performs all duties in compliance with agency safety policies and procedures:
- Reports safety hazards and corrects hazards when possible.
- Completes required documentation in the event of an accident/injury within requested timeframes.
Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency attendance and leave policies.
