Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Skilled team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient care, demonstrate exceptional clinical skills, and be committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality nursing services across diverse medical settings. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your expertise in critical care, medical procedures, and patient assessment will directly impact patient outcomes. The RN will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care, coordinating treatment plans, and ensuring adherence to healthcare standards and regulations.
Duties
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record systems (PCC).
- Administer medications and injections accurately following aseptic techniques, including IV infusions, catheterizations.
- Monitor patients’ conditions closely, ensuring prompt response to acute pain or emergent situations.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical documentation of patient care activities in accordance with NCQA standards and ICD coding protocols.
- Provide education and health coaching to patients and their families on disease management, medication administration, discharge planning, and post-acute care strategies.
Skills
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Point Click Care (PCC) for documentation and patient management.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology relevant to diverse patient populations.
- Skilled in advanced nursing procedures
- Experience with specialized treatments
- Ability to perform complex assessments
- Excellent communication skills for triage situations; working with individuals, providing compassionate dementia or Alzheimer’s care; managing behavioral health cases.
- Knowledge of infection control practices; aseptic techniques; laboratory procedures; phlebotomy; specimen processing; and basic life support (BLS).
- Capable of handling multiple priorities efficiently within fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care.
