CVOR Surgical Technologist
Location: Lubbock, TX
Duration: 13 Weeks
Requirements:
- NBSTSA Certification required
- Previous travel experience required
- Minimum 2 years of consecutive Cardiovascular Surgery experience
- Strong Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular surgery experience required
- Experience assisting in complex cardiovascular surgical procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operating room environment
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields for cardiovascular procedures
- Assist surgeons during cardio-thoracic and vascular surgeries
- Ensure availability and proper functioning of surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Anticipate surgeon needs and provide appropriate instrumentation during procedures
- Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and operating room protocols
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other surgical team members
- Maintain accurate documentation and support quality patient care throughout the perioperative process
Assignment Details:
- No floating required
- On-call required, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Typical staffing ratio: 1 Surgical Technologist to 3 operating rooms/procedures as applicable
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive CVOR experience in acute care hospital settings
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical instrumentation and procedures
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
