Summary:
VCS is looking for the right person to join our school community who will not only teach our students but also build relationships through integrating their faith with learning as part of the VCS team!
Minimum Qualifications:
- MUST have a Bachelor’s degree in Education or appropriate degree
- MUST have experience as a Math Teacher and/or have taken math courses
- Ohio State Licensure in content area (or possibility of obtaining an alternative licensure)
Job Summary:
- To plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in a school environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
- Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the VCS Code of Conduct.
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use the information to adjust teaching strategies.
- Participate in department, school, district, and parent meetings.
- Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
- Observe and evaluate student's performance and development.
- Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with students from diverse cultural, economic, and ability backgrounds.
- Participate in appropriate professional activities.
- Other duties as assigned by the building principal

Pay: $33,100.00 - $40,000.00 per year
