Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Floor Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of floors across various commercial settings. Your expertise in floor care will ensure our clients’ facilities remain safe, hygienic, and visually appealing. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high standards of cleanliness while working in a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of floors using appropriate methods such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
- Conduct carpet cleaning procedures to remove stains, dirt, and debris effectively.
- Apply buffing techniques to restore shine and smoothness to hard flooring surfaces.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, including floor scrubbers and polishers.
- Follow established safety protocols and environmental guidelines during all cleaning activities.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring availability for daily operations.
- Collaborate with janitorial staff to coordinate cleaning schedules and address specific client needs.
Requirements
- Knowledge of and be able to operate floor care equipment, which includes but is not limited to, automatic scrubber, buffer, shampoo machine, extractor, wet vacuum, carpet pile lifter and vacuum.
- Prior experience in custodial or janitorial services with a focus on floor care or environmental services.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques, including carpet cleaning, buffing, and general floor maintenance.
- Ability to operate various cleaning machinery safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for working collaboratively within a team environment.
