American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring a strong cardiac background, prior travel experience, and a TX or compact RN license.

Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting

Heavy cardiac and CVA (stroke) patient population

Requires ability to manage cardiac drips including heparin and nitroglycerin

Day shift schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 hours, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

84 hours worked biweekly

Epic EMR experience strongly preferred

Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS certification required

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with prior travel nursing experience required

Strong cardiac background required

Experience managing cardiac drips (heparin, nitroglycerin, etc.) required

2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to or at the time of offer acceptance

Facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, including testing for marijuana — a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions; candidates should avoid any substances, including CBD products, that could result in a positive test
