JPosition Summary:
The Factory Janitor is responsible for maintaining the building's overall cleanliness, including offices, restrooms, cafeteria, conference rooms, public spaces, and factory floor. Ensure all cleanliness standards are met daily through inspection of all areas and applying Lean concepts. Perform light maintenance work as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Thoroughly sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum hallways, stairs, restrooms, and offices.
· Clean, dust, and wipe furniture.
· Empty and clean wastebaskets, trash containers, and recycle bins.
· Clean and sanitize restrooms by selecting proper chemicals and following all manufacturer’s recommendations for the using of all cleaning solutions. Follow all cleaning procedures for each task.
· Refill all dispensers and restock restrooms and common areas.
· Properly stock the cart daily with all necessary cleaning solutions and tools.
· Follow all safety policies and procedures when using chemicals and operating equipment.
· Maintain equipment, supplies, and supply rooms in an orderly fashion.
· Inform the Maintenance Supervisor of any equipment malfunctions or building issues.
· Ensure a level of cleanliness that exceeds quality expectations.
· Strip and wax floors as scheduled.
· Bail cardboard, change light bulbs, tighten loose toilet seats, and other light maintenance work as assigned.
Required Training, Education & Experience:
- One year of janitorial cleaning experience.
- One year of light maintenance experience.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal skills and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
Working Conditions:
· Factory and office environment.
· Ability to lift up to 10-20 pounds regularly.
