Growing independent Nutraceutical testing laboratory in Clayton, NC is seeking a Sample Preparation Technician. We are searching for a highly-detailed and energetic individual with good communication skills. Must be able to work in a fast-paced & team-oriented production environment yet be independent as well.
Applicant must be at least 18 years old. A college degree in a science related field is required, a chemistry degree is preferred.
This is an entry-level position.
The ideal candidate will have:
- General laboratory knowledge and skills including basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to follow company procedures and industry compendia methods
- Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment
- Good decision-making, negotiating, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Preparing specimens and samples for analytical chemistry testing
- Performing daily calibrations and verifications on equipment used in sample preparation
- General laboratory and equipment maintenance
- Proper documentation and reporting of laboratory results
- Washing a wide variety of glassware to be used throughout the laboratory.
