Job Overview
We are seeking reliable and hardworking FURNITURE PICKUP DRIVERS, and MOVERS to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting furniture, assisting with loading and unloading, and perform various warehouse duties. This position requires physical strength, excellent customer service skills, and a valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport furniture and other items to and from different locations.
- Be able to lift 75 lbs regularly
- Load and unload furniture daily
- Ensure all furniture is securely loaded and unloaded to prevent damage.
- Good communication skills with customers involving pickup and deliveries
- Receive and inspect shipments for quality and accuracy
- Organize and maintain the warehouse layout to ensure efficient storage and retrieval.
- Perform inventory counts and assist in restocking items as needed.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on company vehicles and report any equipment issues to management
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with operating forklifts and pallet jacks is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and lift heavy furniture regularly (up to 75 lbs)
- Able to work Saturdays
- Valid driver's license for route driving or delivery responsibilities is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
