FUNCTIONS:
Assist technicians and ASM's with parts look-up & ensuring the correct aprts are ordered to properly repair customers vehicles. Primary goals are to provide customers satisfaction. Maximize sales and profits of parts and service, and deliver all parts in a timely manner.
RESPONSIBILITES AND AUTHORITY:
CUSTOMER SATISFACTION
Treat customers the way you would want to be treated. Communicate all problems or delays to the parts manager and ASM asap. Inform technicians or ASM of estimated parts costs, and stocking status. Follow-up on stats of parts to ensure vehicle is ready when promised. Have all ASM's authorize all special order parts.
SALE AND EXPENSE CONTROL
SALES
Answer retail and wholesale calls within the first 3 rings. Assist customers with parts and accessory inquiries, remember the customer is always right. Be polite and accommodating, with out them we wont be in business. Maintain lost sales information in invetory control every day. Respond to technician request for parts quickly, locate needed parts quickly and effeciently.
EXPENSE CONTROL
Ensure all parts are charged out on a repair order, counter ticket, internal or shop. Supply ticket before the part ever leaves the department. Record all lost sales. be sure cores are returned daily. Properly mark all sublet invoices with repair order number.
GENERAL HOUSEKEEPING
Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Keep track of inventory. Return special order parts within 60 days, if not sold in shop or to a customer. Fill out special order card completely. Remain up to date on product knowledge. Maintain a professional appearance including standard uniform and identification.
