Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
We are hiring a compassionate and skilled Sign Language Interpreter for an onsite school-based position in Vernon Hills, IL for the 2026-2027 school year! This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a diverse Elementary-Middle School caseload while helping students thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
Position Details:
Location: Vernon Hills, IL
Start Date: Monday, August 17th, 2026 (Institute/Training Days)
End Date: Friday, May 28th, 2027
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:15 AM-3:45 PM
Hours: 35 hours/week
Setting: Kindergarten-8th Grade
Caseload: Approximately 30 students total across Elementary-Middle School
Interpreting Size: Typically 1-5 students per class
Hourly Rate: $40+/hour
Setting Type: Onsite ONLY
Requirements:
Must have an EIPA Score of 3.5 or higher (no exceptions)
