Position Summary: The Sales & Agent Support Specialist serves as the primary operational and relationship support contact for MHP's external independent agent, agency, and Field Marketing Organization (FMO) distribution channels across Medicare Advantage (MA), Medicare Supplement (Med Supp), and Individual Affordable Care Act (ACA) Marketplace product lines. This role is foundational to MHP's sales strategy, ensuring that contracted agents and FMO partners have the tools, training, compliance resouces, and operational support they need to effectively represent and enroll beneficiaries into MHP plans.
The Sales & Agent Support Specialist functions as a dedicated agent concierge, production tracker, and relationship manager for the broker distribution channel. This position supports a high volume of agent relationships across multiple product lines and is responsible for agent contracting, certification tracking, production monitoring, compliance oversight, even coordination, and ongoing agent engagement activities designed to drive enrollment growth through external partners.

Qualifications
Required:
- Associate's degree in business, healthcare administration, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a health insurance sales support, broker relations, or agent services role, preferably within a health plan, FMO, or managed care organization.
- Demonstrated experience working directly with independent agents, brokers, and/or FMO/IMO organizations in the Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, or ACA Marketplace markets.
- Working knowledge of CMS Medicare Marketing Guidelines, agent/broker compliance requirements, and state insurance licensing regulations (Michigan DIFS).
- Valid state driver's license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance coverage required and maintained throughout employment in this position.
