Experienced Bartenders needed
Join the team at Southern California's premier country club, The Del Mar Country Club in Rancho Santa Fe. We are looking for skilled, gracious Bartenders to provide excellent hospitality to members, guests and special event groups including weddings, golf events and corporate meetings.
Bartenders must be able to work as a team, have a positive attitude and accurately execute all food and beverage orders. The staff will be required to have knowledge of wine, beer and liquor options as well as all menu items and specials.
Prior Country club experience a plus.
We are currently seeking Part Time Bartenders.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Thorough knowledge of cocktail recipes and proper service procedures, including craft cocktails, knowledge of wines, wine service and the ability to make cocktails according to provided recipes.
Responsible for bar set-up at the beginning of each shift. Responsible for closing the bar and restocking used items. Responsible for cleanliness of the bar and reporting all maintenance needs to the manager.
Monitor and adhere to the rules and regulations established by the TABC; includes monitoring of guest consumption and knowledge of procedures for handling intoxicated guests.
Assist and support service, acting as a server or busser when needed.
Serve food and beverages to members and guests in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional, and timely manner.
Enter orders accurately into JONAS POS system. Ensure that all food and beverage orders are communicated promptly and professionally to the kitchen.
Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed.
Complete cash bank reconciliation and shift paperwork.
Clean stations, restock and inventory and bus as needed.
Qualifications:
Current California Food Handler Certificate required
Current California Responsible Beverage Bartender Certificate or TiPS Certificate Required
Serving Experience- minimum 3 years required
Friendly and positive attitude.
Ability to recognize and anticipate the needs of the members, guests, and fellow staff.
Commitment to quality and exceptional service to all members and their guests.
Teamwork required to provide five-star service and have fun doing it.

Job Duties:
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, preparing them efficiently, and building a rapport with clientele
- Handle card and cash transactions, ensuring that all funds in the cash drawer are accounted for by the end of the shift

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Must be able to solve basic math problems (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
