Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily service department operations, including workflow coordination and customer interactions
- Support service technicians with automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and technical troubleshooting
- Promote upselling of additional services such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, brake repairs, and transmission work to maximize revenue
- Oversee service writing and auto estimating processes to ensure accurate and transparent communication with customers
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and proper vehicle maintenance procedures across all repair jobs
- Handle cash transactions and assist with dealership sales activities to enhance customer experience
- Maintain detailed records of vehicle repairs, service history, and parts inventory while ensuring high-quality service delivery
Skills
- Extensive auto service management experience with a solid understanding of dealership operations
- Proven ability to upsell automotive services effectively while maintaining excellent customer relationships
- Strong mechanic background with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics, collision repair, engine repairs (including diesel), and mechanical systems such as suspensions, shocks & struts, brakes, transmissions, air brakes, and alignments
- Knowledge of computer-aided vehicle damage estimating software and auto estimating procedures
- Familiarity with automotive repair standards including oil changes, tire services, auto body repairs, and diesel engine repairs
- Exceptional customer service skills paired with effective communication abilities
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and confidently manage dealership sales processes
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record; experience in auto sales is a plus
