Collecting, documenting, analyzing, and reporting of field data; including geologic logging of bore holes and monitoring wells, well installation, completion of soil and groundwater sampling, computer drafting, report writing and general support as needed for project/senior level professionals.

Understanding work assignments and interacting with the client or client representatives and other job stakeholders – typically onsite. Accomplish tasks within the proposed and/or reasonable budget and schedule.

Technical Analysis: Conduct field studies and technical analyses for smaller, less complex projects.

Problem-Solving: Develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope, using prescribed methods and standard techniques.

Research: Investigate technical and regulatory requirements to ensure project compliance.

Report Preparation:
o Prepare scientific reports and permit application packages for submission to regulatory bodies.
o Preparation of data tables, data evaluation write-ups, and graphics for inclusion in reports
o Preparation of finals of field documentation log for inclusion in reports
o Preparation of laboratory data reports for inclusion in reports
o Preparation of field reports for reports
o Field Support: Assist in site characterizations, field monitoring, soil, groundwater, soil vapor, indoor air sampling/field measurements, and remedial investigations

As experience and acumen increases, tasks may include:
- Preparation of report sections, simple proposals Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) sections
- Appropriate interaction with client, regulatory agency, and subcontractor representatives
- May review laboratory data for completeness and accuracy and derive conclusions
- Perform basic calculations, computer modelling drafting etc
- Write draft documents for review by senior staff.
- Assistance with preparation of reports, preparation of data tables and analysis, and possibly preparing workplans and health and safety plans
Education and Experience

Entry-level, new graduate with Bachelor’s degree from accredited university in civil engineering, geology, or related field.

E.I.T. (Engineer-in-Training) or G.I.T. (Geologist-in-Training) certification preferred but not required

Strong academic background in field of study · 0-2 years’ experience

Ability to work outdoors for extended periods of time

Valid California Driver’s License (or able to obtain prior to starting employment at BSK)

Willing to travel to project locations throughout California

40-hour HAZWOPER training preferred but not required.

Environmental soil and groundwater sampling experience preferred but not required.
