Community-Based Day Services (CBDS) Instructor (Full-Time)

Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week) – Benefit Eligible
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Sign-On Bonus: $2,000 (Full-Time) | $1,000 (Part-Time) (Bonuses are paid out in two increments.)
Pay: $19–$20.17/hour. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related factors.

What You’ll Do
As a CBDS Instructor, you will support adults with developmental and other disabilities in developing community, social, vocational, and daily living skills. Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring individual health and safety while providing active support and supervision.
- Teaching skills in communication, socialization, ADLs, hygiene, community involvement, and work readiness.
- Supporting individuals in community-based activities, volunteer roles, and off-site work experiences.
- Building relationships with local organizations to create integrated, meaningful opportunities.
- Documenting progress notes, behavior plan data, and communication logs clearly and accurately.
- Providing transportation to community-based programming using agency vehicles.
- Implementing positive behavioral supports per individuals’ plans.
- Maintaining professional, supportive relationships with individuals, families, colleagues, and community partners.
What We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent with 6+ months of related experience, or an associate or bachelor’s degree.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 30 lbs as needed for program activities.
- Strong communication skills and comfort supporting individuals both onsite and in the community.
- Reliability, patience, and a desire to help others learn and grow.
- Successful completion of all required background checks (CORI, SORI, fingerprinting, DPPC, etc.).
- Team players who embrace inclusion, respect, dignity, and person-centered values.
