Key Responsibilities
Manage and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, trust, and estate tax returns
Develop and implement tax planning strategies for a diverse portfolio of clients
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building and maintaining strong relationships
Research and resolve complex tax issues, staying current on federal, state, and local tax law changes
Supervise, train, and mentor tax staff and senior associates; provide performance feedback
Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and staffing to ensure efficient workflow
Identify opportunities for additional client services and support business development efforts
Liaise with tax authorities on notices, audits, and inquiries as needed
Collaborate with partners and other department leaders on firm initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master's in Taxation a plus
CPA license required (active and in good standing)
Minimum 5–7 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting
Strong technical knowledge of individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary taxation
Prior experience managing client relationships and supervising staff
Proficiency with tax preparation and research software (e.g., CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, or similar)
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines simultaneously
