Description:
Anivas Tech is seeking a Solutions Architect to support our government agency IT operations. We are looking for a skilled professional with 15+ years of relevant experience who brings strong technical expertise and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a mission-driven, high-visibility environment.
Requirements:

Define and drive enterprise-level technical architecture strategies aligned with government agency mission objectives

Lead architecture reviews and provide authoritative guidance on system design, integration patterns, and technology selection

Collaborate with government stakeholders, project managers, and engineering teams to translate mission needs into actionable technical roadmaps

Develop and maintain architecture artifacts including solution designs, reference architectures, and integration blueprints

Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their applicability to improve agency operations and reduce technical debt

Ensure all architectural decisions adhere to security, compliance, and federal IT governance standards (FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST)
-
Serve as a technical advisor and escalation point for complex cross-system integration and infrastructure challenges

Support Agile delivery teams by providing architectural guardrails and participating in sprint planning and design sessions

Coordinate with vendors, cloud service providers, and third-party contractors to ensure architectural cohesion

Produce and present architectural briefings, risk analyses, and trade-off assessments to senior leadership and government stakeholders

US citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; 5 additional years of relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree

15+ years of progressive experience in IT, with at least 7 years in a solutions or enterprise architecture role

Demonstrated experience designing large-scale, distributed systems and enterprise integrations

Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid cloud architectures

Strong understanding of networking, security, databases, middleware, and application development disciplines

Experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent

Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical senior stakeholders

Ability to lead technical teams and drive consensus across organizational boundaries

Active Secret clearance or higher

Experience in federal IT modernization programs or large-scale digital transformation initiatives

Agile, SAFe, or hybrid delivery methodology experience

Relevant certifications (AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Expert, TOGAF Certified)

Experience with Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) and federal cybersecurity frameworks (NIST RMF)
